8. What is the consultation process like?

11. What happens if I tan?

The camouflage tattoo does not change color, so depending on how dark you tan, your stretch marks may become more or less noticeable.

12. How long will this last?

Technically, this is a tattoo, so it is permanent. However, all tattoos can change, fade, or alter over time due to sun exposure, aging, and overall health. You may need a touch-up in 3 to 5 years.

13. How many sessions will I need?

Every individual’s scars and stretch marks are unique, but most clients require 2 to 3 sessions on average. However, additional sessions are not mandatory.

14. Do you use any numbing creams?

Unfortunately, no. Since I work on compromised skin, I avoid using numbing creams to ensure there are no barriers that might prevent the ink or serum from being retained effectively.

15. Does it hurt?

Pain tolerance varies for everyone, but most clients rate the discomfort at a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1 to 10.

16. How long should I wait before getting into a pool or lake?

You should wait at least 30 days.

17. What happens if I get pregnant again or develop more stretch marks?

At the time of your session, I can only tattoo what is visible. If you develop new stretch marks, we will need to wait until they are fully healed before scheduling another session.

18. Can you tattoo over black ink?

No, skin-toned ink will not sit on top of black ink. Since the ink is deposited into your skin, tattoo removal is the best option before proceeding.

19. I’m always tanned—can you just match my tanned skin color?

No, we only match your natural skin tone to ensure the most natural appearance.

20. How long will it take me to heal?

Healing times vary for everyone. On average, most clients heal within 45 to 60 days. If you are prone to hyperpigmentation, healing may take 60 to 90 days or, in rare cases, longer.
